A dessert nutmeg that is so sweet and thick that it will easily withstand the company of cakes. Although, it is much better to pair it with some aromatic hard goat cheese or cheese with noble mold.

It smells of dried apricots, honey, dried flowers, orange jam. It has a deep golden color, with a darker shade that is slightly inclined to amber. The taste is sweet, thick and intense, without weight, nice balance and extremely long duration. It can be stored for at least another fifteen to twenty years.

The story of the Benvenuti winery is a story of family, tradition, and terroir. The winery is located in the quiet Istrian village of Kaldir, overlooking the nearby Motovun, where they cultivate three indigenous varieties - Istrian Malvasia, Teran, and Muscat. Throughout history, these varieties have been giving the best results in Istria and it is, therefore, Benvenuti winery's intention to use the advantages of this unique territory sustainably, with gratitude for being a small part of it. Family values and tradition are the key "condiments" of Benvenuti wines. They are the foundation upon which Benvenutis produce their wines which in their grape variety reflect the abundance of vineyards, located on several specific micro-locations. One of these, San Salvatore, is the heart of their varieties. The terraced configuration and the white soil, along with the micro-climate, give the grapes character which translates to very mineral, fresh wines, fully expressive of the characteristics of the varieties. These characteristics are expressed in all of Benvenuti wines, from basic to aged Malvasias, fresh and harmonious Terans, through to intensive and pleasantly acidic sweet wines. The results of focus on micro-locations and indigenous varieties - along with honest, hard work - are wines that are recognized by consumers, critics, and peers alike. Droplets of Benvenuti story are enclosed in every bottle, in lieu with their philosophy: like wine, like the winemaker. In this way, they would like to convey to you, the wine lover, the terroir on which and by which they live.
