Teran, partly aged in big oak barrels, is certainly a flagship wine of Sirotić Winery, due to its unusual character, which expresses Medveja's terroir.

In the nose it's very rustic at first, then a Syrah-like black pepper appears, then some notes of dry roses and forest floor pop out. In the mouth the real Teran appears with red berry flavors, all supported by astounding levels of acidity. A wine for hearty winter dishes. We recommend decanting  it for at least two hours.

Sirotić Winery comes from the small town of Medveje in Vrhuština, as the settlements around the Istrian town of Vrh between Buzet and Motovun are called. This small family winery is run by a father and son of the same name and surname - Dario Sirotić. The Sirotić family now owns approximately 5 hectares of vineyards, where they plant predominantly Istrian Malvasia (50%) followed by Teran, Chardonnay, and Muscat. The settlement of Medveje and the Siroti family's vineyards are distinguished by a unique terroir and microclimate, which has resulted in extraordinarily resistant vines and intriguing Sirotić wines.
